Fair Luxury is proud to pioneer the jewellery movement with a rich and varied programme of seminal conferences, online Open Houses and special events, exploring a broad range of topics.

Fair Luxury conferences

In 2016, we organised and hosted the UK’s first ever ethical jewellery conference. Selling out almost instantly, Fair Luxury was a seminal gathering of jewellery and fashion industry professionals at a time when conversations were bubbling without any dedicated space to do so. The event was wonderfully received, and laid the foundations for a steady run of annual conferences in 2017, 2018 and 2019. In collaboration with entities such as The Goldsmiths’ Centre, London’s Royal College of Art and Edinburgh’s Association of Goldsmiths, these conferences have drawn in delegates and speakers from around the world, from big brands like Pandora and DeBeers to independent businesses like Lebrusan Studio and Anna Loucah; from global organisations like the Alliance for Responsible Mining to communities like Ethical Metalsmiths. They have instigated ground-breaking conversations, forged meaningful, productive connections and inspired other groups to follow suit.

Fair Luxury Open Houses

Born from a desire to unite like-minded people when national lockdowns had rendered many of us isolated, Fair Luxury Open Houses began as an informal opportunity for us to connect online with the ethical jewellery community; to learn, find support and exchange ideas on all things relating to ethical jewellery practices. By nurturing a sense of human connection and sharing information, they were a chance for us to encourage one another and focus our individual intentions.

Today, our Open Houses are evolved and well-attended events; interactive opportunities to explore varied topics of ethics and sustainability, from responsible jewellery packaging to artisanal gold and what it means to be an LGBTQIA+ member of the jewellery industry. Discussions with inspiring and accomplished jewellery industry experts are now a regular feature.

Special events
