As individual designers, makers, traders and retailers - as well as advocates and educators - we’ve pledged to make decisions in our own businesses that are driven by more than just profit. We’re each at a different place on our journey to responsible business, but we are working on it. No matter how big or small, our collective actions will transform our industry for the better.

The pioneering Fair Luxury Pledge framework is designed to support you and your peers to take tangible steps towards a better business. It’s an opportunity to set a personal or business goal, motivate yourself with a sense of accountability and network with those with common aims, exchanging knowledge and ideas along the way. No matter your position in the industry or where you are on your ‘fair jewellery journey’, the Pledge scheme is here to offer incentive and a sense of community.

As members of the jewellery industry, our experience is varied and so too are our ideas. We are each at a different stage in our journey towards responsible business, but we are united by a common goal: We are all working on it. The jewellery industry has a huge role to play in tackling climate change and addressing socioeconomic injustices. No matter how big or small, our collective actions will change the world.
OUR TEAM
We know that when jewellery is produced responsibly, it can provide sustainable livelihoods for all involved – from the miners of raw materials right through the supply chain to the ultimate designer or retailer of the finished piece. In our mind’s eye, the jewellery industry of the future is one which redistributes wealth fairly and does not place an unsustainable level of pressure on our planet’s vital ecosystems.
